Summary
Highlights
Preston hears about the Billionaire selling a theme park for 750 million emeralds. He decides to invest, purchasing the park, including expensive rides like the 'Death Shredder' rollercoaster, to rapidly accumulate wealth. He reaches over a billion emeralds, but the theme park venture ends in disaster when Jimmy dies on a faulty ride, leading to the park's permanent closure.
Left with zero emeralds, Preston is recruited by an underground mafia to take out a rival mob boss for 800 million emeralds. He accidentally kills the wrong target but then reports the mafia to the police, earning 950 million emeralds as a reward. With almost enough money, he encounters a Mr. Beast-like villager offering 100 billion emeralds for a 900 million emerald entry fee, which he decides to join.
The competition starts with 'Red Light, Green Light,' where villagers die for moving on red. He survives and reaches the final game, 'Emerald Gamble,' with Jimmy. They agree to work together, but during the game, Preston accidentally miscommunicates, causing Jimmy to fall into lava and die. Preston wins the 100 billion emeralds, but the victory feels hollow.
With his new wealth, Preston finally enters the Billionaire Portal, arriving in a breathtaking city made entirely of emeralds. However, his past actions catch up to him as he spots the mafia henchman from earlier and receives a message from Jimmy, indicating a final revenge attempt, leaving Preston in peril.
Preston, after dying in hardcore mode, finds himself in a mysterious 'Diamond Village' where only 'Millionaire Villagers' are allowed entry. He tricks his way in by taking on the appearance of a wealthy villager and discovers a city built of diamond blocks and emerald fountains, filled with rich villagers.
He encounters a portal guarded by Iron Golems, which only allows 'Billionaire Villagers' to pass. To accumulate the necessary billion emeralds, he visits a massive underground emerald farm, where he meets a friendly villager named Jimmy who tragically dies in an accident, leaving Preston with some emeralds.
Determined to reach a billion, Preston infiltrates the city's tallest tower, home to the lone Billionaire. He steals valuable art and money from the penthouse, only to discover that the sleeping security guard, 'Jimmy #004', is the same Jimmy he met at the emerald farm, creating moral conflict.
