Before making the bed, check the mattress and mattress protector for any stains, damages, or hair. Use a lint roller on the mattress protector to remove any loose hairs or items, maintaining cleanliness.

Stand at the base of the mattress and place the bed sheet on top. Ensure the sheet is stain-free, damage-free, and crease-free. Position the bed sheet with the inside facedown, including the label, then tuck it in starting from the headboard, ensuring each corner is firmly tucked.

After checking for stains, damages, and creases, lay the duvet cover flat on the bed with the opening facing you. Introduce some air into the cover, then take the duvet's top corners (where the label is) and feed them into the duvet cover. Reach for the corresponding corners inside the cover, grip both duvet and cover corners, and shake well to align the remaining corners. Adjust any edges through the cover.

Ensure the top edge of the duvet cover touches the headboard exactly. Fold the top part of the duvet neatly down by about 50 centimeters. Verify that the duvet hangs evenly on all sides of the bed for a balanced appearance.

Prepare pillow covers by checking for stains, damages, and creases, ensuring labels are tucked inside. Flatten and straighten each pillow, then place them against the headboard at a 90-degree angle, with the open side of the pillow covers hidden from view. Arrange decorative cushions next to the pillows. Finally, step back to check the overall presentation of the bed from all angles to ensure it's ready for guests.
