While DIMSU is already ISO 9001:2015 certified and has numerous accreditations, PQA is distinct. ISO focuses on process consistency, and AACUP looks at individual programs. PQA, however, views the university as a whole system, aligning leadership, planning, workforce, operations, and results.
The Philippine Quality Award (PQA) is the highest recognition for organizational excellence in the Philippines, considered the gold standard for performance and quality. For DIMSU, it's more than just an award; it's an external evaluation that improves cohesion, morale, stakeholder trust, and national visibility.
The PQA assessment doesn't require extra paperwork or memorization. It focuses on how effectively daily responsibilities are handled, how clients are served, and contributions to improvements. Assessors are quality management experts from various sectors who examine seven categories: leadership, strategy, customers, measurement, knowledge management, workforce, operations, and results. Nearly half the score comes from results.
Processes are assessed through ADLI (Approach, Deployment, Learning, and Integration). Results are checked through LTCI (Levels, Trends, Comparisons, and Integration).
The PQA framework enhances HR practices, including recruitment, training, and recognition, ensuring employees feel valued and supported. Achieving PQA means joining the country's best-managed institutions, bringing recognition, benchmarking opportunities, funding eligibility, and a stronger commitment to excellence. It's about continuous improvement and embracing world-class standards.
