Prince Davey, son of the king's first wife, is shot by his own brother and falls into a six-year coma. His soul is sent to a realm where heroes train him for a millennium, transforming him from a weak child into a formidable warrior with diverse magical abilities. Upon awakening, Davey resolves to avenge his mother's death and expose those who wronged him.
Davey awakens from his coma, regaining his sacred powers and physical strength. He confronts his stepmother, Queen Linus, and her sons, who are surprised by his recovery. When a priest, Father Boris, sent by the queen attempts to mock and sexually harass his loyal maid, Amy, Davey executes him, exposing the queen's corruption and sending ripples through the palace.
Davey discovers his family is in financial distress, with meager funds and only one loyal maid, Amy. He also realizes the castle's maintenance funds are being embezzled. He receives unexpected support from the Grand Chamberlain, Besus, who secretly helps him, and his half-siblings, twins Winley and Barice, who return to visit him, igniting hope for alliances.
Davey accompanies his siblings to a continental fencing tournament. At a ball, he confronts the arrogant Prince Valencian, who attempts to belittle Winley. Davey humiliatingly defeats Valencian in a duel, using his 'drunken stance' to make it appear an accidental victory, preserving his 'weak prince' facade.
Valencian, fueled by humiliation and a mysterious influence, attacks Benettis during the tournament, breaking the rules. He then goes mad, executing a servant and causing chaos. Davey steps in, realizing Valencian is infected by a 'blood demon' (vampire). Princess Ilana, believing it is her personal mission to eliminate vampires, also joins the fray.
Ilana fights Valencian, but he unleashes a 'blood tide,' affecting everyone in the arena. Davey protects Winley and is forced to reveal his true power, using a demontic blood explosion on Valencian. Ilana, though surprised by his strength, still attempts to handle the situation, showcasing her own skills and the divine sword Calderas.
Davey takes Ilana's divine sword, Calderas, confronting the manifested vampire, Shirley (who was also the queen's informant). He defeats her, but more importantly, he meets Pcelk, the Demon Queen of the Abyss, who was sealed within Calderas by her own father, the sword god Harris, and is now tethered to Davey via a divine stigma on his back. Davey orchestrates his escape from the duchy, using the stigma as a strategic advantage.
Davey returns to his newly granted territory, Hines, a cursed, arid land. He discovers a goblin infestation and rallies the disheartened locals, inspiring them with his resolve and a touch of magical empowerment. He uses an antique, magically crafted arrow to launch a surprise attack, allowing the guards to decimate the goblins.
Davey discovers the curse on Hines is a self-sustaining greenhouse created by a mage and finds an enormous magic crystal that controls the territory's climate. He manipulates the crystal to bring rain, then uses his unique knowledge to cultivate 'moon flowers', a rare and expensive plant, transforming Hines into a prosperous hub and attracting attention from across the continent.
Davey returns to the capital, summoned by the king. He learns of the king's recent actions against corrupt nobles and confronts his father about his past abandonment. He declines the offer of the crown, revealing his intention to develop Hines. He then subtly undermines the attempts of Duke Beretta and the queen to seize control of Hines, humiliating Carlos in the process, and making connections with the Pope of the Holy Kingdom through strategic negotiations.
Davey travels to the Yellow Rock tribe, home of the dwarves, seeking their engineering expertise. He wins over the elder, Golda, in a drinking contest and offers to help repair their sacred sword, the Blaze of Beginnings, a prototype of the divine sword Calderas. He demonstrates his master blacksmith skills, melting and re-forging the sword, earning the dwarves' respect and their unwavering support for Hines' development.
Davey forges two new living swords, Azure and Carmisum, from the remnants of the Blaze of Beginnings and his master Certer's stored creations. These swords take on human child forms, calling him 'Daddy'. He faces an attack from a high-tier vampire, Pedkid, sent by Pace (Shirley's master), a vampire trying to sway Carlos. Davey captures Pedkid and extracts information before the vampire self-destructs due to a curse.
Winley visits Davey and his adopted sword-daughters, revealing a friend, Potna, has contracted a mysterious and deadly disease called 'demon's blood'. Davey recognizes the symptoms, realizing it's a highly contagious virus from another world. He heads to Varys, Winley's territory, which is now under quarantine by the Disease Treatment Corporation, an influential organization backed by emperors and the Pope.
At Varys, Davey encounters Count Linton and Baron Gorno from the Disease Treatment Corporation, who are strictly enforcing quarantine. He defies their authority by saving a patient from misdiagnosis and successfully performing a delicate surgery. He then commissions the dark elf informant, Ena Helishana, to gather information about Potna's past and whereabouts, believing the cure lies in understanding the disease's origin.
