The sea demon reports to the Dragon Clan that an ordinary human girl, Annie, was able to break the Buddha's seal. The Third Prince of the Dragon Clan is shocked and orders Annie to be captured at all costs.

Wukong attempts to retrieve his golden staff, bragging that only he can lift it. However, he finds himself unable to pull it out. He eventually realizes the staff has been sealed by the Buddha.

A sea demon, Wukong's former brother, appears. He blames Wukong for past troubles and is now assigned to guard the staff. They begin to fight, but Wukong, having lost his power, is quickly defeated by the demon.

Annie tries to help Wukong but is struck down. Her blood unexpectedly drifts towards the golden staff, breaking the Buddha's seal. Wukong immediately summons the staff and uses it to defeat the sea demon, who then escapes.
