Israel DEFEATED In Court - Despite British Attempted SABOTAGE

Israel has been defeated in its attempts to stop justice and accountability for its genocidal assault against the Palestinian people at the International Criminal Court (ICC). The ICC issued arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity, initially focusing on deliberate starvation. This imposes a legal duty on member states like Britain and France to arrest them.

The ICC faced immense pressure, including threats from US Republican politicians. The US under Trump imposed crippling sanctions on Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan and judges, blacklisting them alongside terrorists. One such judge, Nicolas Guarant, faced severe financial restrictions. The UN special rapporteur in Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, also experienced similar coercive measures, including threats and financial blacklisting for her work.

Despite ongoing pressure, the ICC ordered further charges or warrants to be kept secret and has resisted Israel's attempts to stop investigations. Israel launched a legal challenge to the ICC to halt investigations into its genocide against Palestinians, hoping for the institution to break under pressure. However, the appeals judges at the ICC rejected Israel's attempt, allowing the investigation to continue. Israel does not recognize the ICC's jurisdiction, but the court has jurisdiction over Palestine, making crimes committed on Palestinian territory subject to the ICC.

The UK incorporated the ICC into domestic law and is a signatory to the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, binding it to act in good faith.
