He confronts the powerful Witch Inviting Star, a Yuan-Ying cultivator, and after a fierce battle and using his unique abilities and items, he subdues her. He then forces her to reveal information about her master, Cao Wanxie, a notorious old devil.
Cao Wanxie, the master of Inviting Star and a powerful Yuan-Ying cultivator, escapes imprisonment and seeks revenge on Ye Kaishan. After a narrow escape and strategizing with Smokey Sky, Ye Kaishan marries her, enabling him to break through to the Yuan-Ying stage. He then confronts Cao Wanxie, using his enhanced power and unique techniques to defeat the old devil, avenging the deaths of many and securing the safety of the region.
