Summary
Highlights
On her 14th birthday, Princess Star Butterfly of Mewni receives the royal magic wand. After accidentally setting her kingdom on fire, her parents send her to Earth to train and learn responsibility. She arrives at the Diaz household where she is introduced to Marco, a safety-conscious boy tasked with being her guide.
While Star and Marco are just starting to get acquainted, Ludo, a villain from Mewni, attacks the Diaz house to steal Star's wand. Star and Marco work together to fight off Ludo and his monsters, showcasing their combined magical and karate skills. Ludo is defeated and retreats.
Star's best friend from Mewni, Pony Head, arrives on Earth using dimensional scissors. Star, Marco, and Pony Head go to the Bounce Lounge, a club in another dimension. Pony Head, jealous of Marco's friendship with Star, tries to get rid of him.
Pony Head's father, King Pony Head, arrives with the Royal Guards to take Pony Head to St. Olga's Reform School for Wayward Princesses due to her unruly behavior. Star and Marco bid farewell to Pony Head, who accepts her fate. Star and Marco are left stranded in another dimension when Pony Head takes the dimensional scissors with her.
