The autopsy revealed he had been sexually assaulted twice, once while alive and once after death. This transformed the missing person's case into a murder investigation.

CCTV footage showed Adhan entering the elevator with a woman wearing a niqab. Later, the woman exited alone. Majid confirmed it wasn't his wife. Police traced the niqab-clad figure through street cameras and discovered the person removed the niqab in a secluded area, revealing a man. They traced the purchase of the niqab and related items to Iqbal, Majid's brother-in-law.

Majid identified Iqbal, 38, who had come to the UAE from Pakistan with Majid's help. Iqbal admitted to planning Adhan's abduction and assault, knowing Adhan's routine. He lured Adhan to the rooftop, locked them in, and attempted to render him unconscious. Adhan resisted, unmasked Iqbal, and recognized him. Iqbal then brutally assaulted, strangled, and killed Adhan, repeating the assault. Iqbal was sentenced to death by hanging in November 2017.

The broadcast transitions to a new case in India, specifically Mumbai, on July 20, 2021. A large blue suitcase washed ashore containing dismembered human remains. The body parts were identified as belonging to a woman, indicated by her physical structure and henna on her hands. The head was missing, making identification difficult.

Police and divers searched for clues, but found nothing. The body, estimated to be a woman between 25 and 35 years old, remained unidentified for two months. Due to the henna, suggesting she was Muslim, she was buried according to Islamic rites. Thirteen months later, in August 2022, a man named Javeed reported his niece, Sania Sheikh, missing—she hadn't been heard from in over a year.

Sania, an orphan raised by Javeed, married Asif in 2017 and moved to Saudi Arabia. They returned to India during the COVID-19 pandemic with their daughter, Amira. Asif claimed Sania left him and Amira with a note, stating she ran off with another man and asked him to take care of their daughter. Javeed found this suspicious, as Sania was devoted to her family.

Police, noting the similarities between Sania's age and the estimated age of the victim, suspected a connection. They showed photos of the victim's clothes to Asif's family, who denied recognizing them but showed extreme nervousness. DNA comparison between Amira and the buried remains confirmed the body was Sania's.

A handwriting expert determined Sania's 'farewell letter' was written by Asif, leading to his confession. He revealed a shocking motive: his older sister, married for 20 years, was unable to have children. The family pressured Sania to give her newborn daughter, Amira, to Asif's sister to prevent her divorce. When Sania refused, the family harbored deep resentment.

On July 2021, Asif, his brother Yassin, and their father drowned Sania in a small pool in their garden. Asif attempted to dismember her, but became hysterical, so his father and brother completed the act. They dismembered her body, placed it in a suitcase, and, with the help of Asif's brother-in-law, Yusuf (his sister's husband), disposed of it in the sea, throwing her head separately. All four were arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment without parole in early 2023.
