Limburg Doc: Thuis in Limburg - L1

Labor migration is a long-standing and significant aspect of Limburg's history, not a new phenomenon. For decades, the province has grown and evolved due to people coming from other regions and countries. In the last century, workers from both within the Netherlands and abroad arrived to work in the Limburg mines and build new lives. While the industries have changed, the necessity of attracting people to Limburg has only increased.

The documentary 'Thuis in Limburg' explores the stories of various individuals who have migrated to Limburg for work. It features people like Vasile, a strawberry picker from Romania; Gorreti, a nurse from the Philippines; Chandra Mouli, an IT specialist from India; Krystyna, a language teacher from Poland; and Wilson, a priest from Colombia. The film addresses questions about their identities, motivations for being in Limburg, and the province's reliance on them.
