Lightning McQueen is shown an electronic suit that tracks speed and vital signs. He then enters a impressive new training center, which Sterling explains is the most coveted destination for young racers and where Lightning will train until he leaves for Florida.

The training center boasts treadmills, wind tunnels, virtual reality, and an elite fitness regimen. Lightning is particularly impressed by the XDL24GTS, Mark C, a multi-million-dollar interactive race simulation, which Sterling mentions even Jackson Storm wishes he had.

A racer comments that the simulator feels like a real track, and Sterling encourages everyone to put in their hours. Lightning then sees a female car racing very fast and asks who she is. Sterling introduces her as Cruz Ramirez, the best trainer in the business, calling her the 'maestro of motivation'.

Cruz Ramirez leads her trainees through a motivational chant: 'Ready to meet it, greet it, and defeat it!' She encourages them to 'bring up those RPMs' and coaches Ronald, a tense driver, to relax by having him repeat 'I am a fluffy cloud' as a relaxation exercise.
