Summary
Highlights
Goldilocks, a little girl with golden curly hair, gets lost in the forest while chasing a butterfly. She discovers a small house and decides to investigate, hoping to find help.
Inside the house, Goldilocks finds three bowls of porridge. She tries the large bowl (too hot), the medium bowl (too cold), and finally eats all of the porridge from the small bowl (just right).
Feeling tired, Goldilocks goes into the living room and tests three chairs. She finds the big chair uncomfortable, the medium chair too squishy, and breaks the small chair, which was 'just right'.
Goldilocks then heads upstairs to the bedroom. She tries the great big bed (too hard), the medium bed (too soft), and finally falls asleep in the smallest bed, which she finds 'just right'.
The Three Bears (Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear) return home and discover someone has been eating their porridge, sitting in their chairs, and sleeping in their beds.
Baby Bear discovers Goldilocks still sleeping in his bed. The bears' roars wake her up, and she flees the house and the forest, never to return.
