Sonic and Tails encounter bounty hunters. Sonic reminisces about the first time they met, which involves Dr. Robotnik calling a 'bounty hunters convention' to declare Sonic the most wanted fugitive on Mobius, offering a reward of one billion Mobiums.
Sonic crashes Dr. Robotnik's bounty hunter convention, leading to a chaotic chase where he outsmarts all the bounty hunters with ease. He even sets up a show to distract them, highlighting his quick wit and speed.
Frustrated by Sonic's escapes, Dr. Robotnik decides to create stronger, more intelligent robots to capture him. He introduces his first creation, Scratch, a chicken-like robot, and then attempts to clone him, inadvertently creating Grounder, a tank-like robot, due to a pulled lever.
Coconuts, another one of Robotnik's robots, tries to capture Sonic while he's on a chili dog break. Sonic easily evades Coconuts, who ends up dealing with the angry chef and a series of explosive mishaps.
Scratch and Grounder set up a trap using a fake landscape, a brick wall, and a net. Sonic outsmarts them by using their own trap against them, forcing them to suffer the consequences of their poorly planned efforts.
Scratch and Grounder try another tactic, pretending to have chickenpox to distract Sonic and Tails. They briefly manage to capture Tails and then Sonic, reporting their success to Dr. Robotnik.
Just as Robotnik arrives to claim his prize, Sonic and Tails execute an elaborate escape plan involving a dust storm created by Tails' twin tails. The episode concludes with Sonic emphasizing the importance of only calling 911 for real emergencies.
