PROJECT ELL and Reading Comprehension Among Grade 5 Pupils

The study focused on PROJECT ELL's impact on Grade 5 pupils' reading comprehension at San Roque Elementary School. Its primary aims were to determine the intervention's effect on reading comprehension, analyze pre- and post-test results, and evaluate the effect size of PROJECT ELL.

Thirteen frustrated readers were selected using total enumeration for a single-shoot test. The research employed a pre-post-test-only design to assess the learners identified for the study's purpose.

PROJECT ELL significantly helped frustrated readers improve their reading comprehension, particularly in locating information and explaining answers. The study concludes that diverse strategies are crucial for achieving high levels of reading comprehension among frustrated readers.
